Some knowledge may be beneficial, but knowing Allah is essential—especially for anyone who declares, “La ilaha illallah.” There is no room for delay or ignorance in this matter. Allah is the Creator, the Sustainer, the One with perfect attributes. Knowing Him is our highest pursuit, and the primary way to know Allah is by learning His names and attributes.

When Allah first spoke to Moses (peace be upon him), He said: “Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me.” Allah’s names are not mere titles; each carries profound meaning and impact. The goal of studying them is to know, love, and revere Allah, to submit and humble ourselves in prayer, and to feel ashamed when tempted to disobey Him.

We acquire this knowledge primarily through the Quran, by understanding the contexts in which Allah’s beautiful names are mentioned. Additionally, books on this subject are valuable resources for deepening our understanding.
