Learn more about Kottab Institute and our mission.

What is “kottab”? In Arabic, “kottab” means writers, but this name was given to small places where kids memorized the Qur’an, in addition to learning how to read and write through it. Especially for us in Egypt, kottab holds a unique place in our hearts. We had our first childhood friends in kottab and enjoyed having our first recitations, memorization, Islamic knowledge, and linguistics with them. Our memories in kottabs are filled with peace and happiness in the presence of the holy Qur’an. These precious moments are what we want to share with our foreign brothers, sisters, and kids. Therefore, it is our pleasure to have you in our little “kottab”. ❤️
